ORAL PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

  1. Your oral poster presentation consists of both the standard hard copy, mounted poster and an electronic presentation of the poster using MS PowerPoint slides. This is a unique opportunity for you to orally present your poster at a designated time to an audience in the Poster Exhibition Hall.
  2. Prepare both a poster and a brief PowerPoint presentation that reflects your poster.
  3. Posters should be laid out in portrait format with dimensions not to exceed 90cm wide and 130 cm tall.
  4. Posters printed on one large sheet of paper are encouraged. Pins/Adhesive for hanging posters will be provided in the Poster Exhibition Hall.
  5. Please set up your poster in the Poster Exhibition Hall at the time allocated in the programme (Which will be shared at a later time)
  6. The Posters will be on display for the entire duration of the assigned day of the conference and should be removed at the end of each day (6.00 pm)
  7.  You may develop A4 photocopies of your poster presentation to share. ?
  8. Kindly send a copy of your powerpoint slides 24hrs before your scheduled presentation to: mnkanika@afenet.net and copy amemedonne@yahoo.com 
  9. Save your presentation using the format – surname name_title_Presentation type_date (mm/dd) e.g. Namusisi_Cholera in Uganda_Oral Poster_08/08
  10.  Arrive to the venue of the presentation early so as to acquaint yourself with presentation area and seek clarification from the session managers about the presentation proceedings.
  11. The presentation area will be equipped with a laptop computer and a LCD projector. All presenters should use the conference laptop that will be provided.
  12. A presentation rehearsal room will be available for presenters to practice prior to their scheduled presentation time.
